i have this silver oxidized ring that has a cris cross band and it has a butterfly hanging from it. It was a gift from my grandpa but i’ve wet it a couple of times and it hasn’t turned brown or left a green stain on my finger so i was wondering if it was a good piece of jewlery or wat?

is it sterling silver? It would have a stamp, 925 or silver somewhere. If it is, it won’t turn brown or green or anything. It will stay as it is, maybe gather a bit more oxidisation which you could remove with a polishing cloth.

Like im really allergic to gold and silver and i just got a nice silver bracelet but i can’t wear it cuz when i wear silver i get really bad hives, but the weird thing is i can wear silver necklaces and silver rings but i can’t wear bracelets, why is that? well if anyone who can help me, please help!! thanks for reading and responding! :D

That’s not an allergy.
* Gold and silver are extremely unreactive.
* If you can tolerate close contact with those metals elsewhere on your skin,
then it’s some kind of skin condition on your wrists.

I received a few silver rings, necklaces, and bracelets as gifts. they are supposedly silver but feel very plastic so im worried if the person they bought it from ripped them off.

How do I easily, home made check these if they are real silver?

Go to a pawn shop. They’ll make u an offer to buy the jewelry, just decline it
